Restaurants post deep-discount meals with a target and a deadline. Subscribe free — your card is only charged if enough people join before time runs out. If it doesn't tip, nobody pays.
Daily veg curry, basmati rice, naan, and a fountain drink.
27 more needed by 9:00 am — or nobody is charged.
Subscribing costs nothing unless the whole crowd shows up. Think of it as a Kickstarter for lunch.
Restaurants broadcast time-boxed specials — a $5.99 lunch, a $3 breakfast — each with a subscriber target and a countdown.
Pick a pickup slot and hold your spot. Your card is pre-authorized like a hotel hold. No tip, no charge, no hard feelings.
Hit the target and everyone's charged at once. Show your QR code at your slot time and walk out with a meal at half price.
The threshold is the whole point. Restaurants can only afford deep discounts when volume is guaranteed — so no deal is ever honored at a loss, and no diner is ever charged for a meal that won't exist.
Sample deals from our pilot neighborhood. Every card is a batch waiting to tip.
Set the meal, the price, the minimum, and the window. We broadcast it to every subscriber within pickup range.
100 identical meals prepped at once costs far less per unit than 100 à la carte orders — and you know the exact count before you cook.
Monetize the 6–9 am window or the 2–5 pm lull. Your kitchen is idle anyway; a tipped batch turns it into revenue.
We charge a small per-meal fee only on deals that tip. Your margin stays yours — this isn't the delivery-app model.
Illustrative numbers. Plus 100 new faces who now know where your door is.
Launching one neighborhood at a time in Toronto. Your postal code decides where we go first.
Get notified the moment deals go live near you. Early subscribers get first access to every batch.
Founding restaurants pay no fees for the first 90 days and help shape the product.
Nothing — literally. The payment hold on your card is released automatically and no one is charged. The restaurant never preps the batch, so there's no waste and no loss on either side.
Your card is pre-authorized when you subscribe (like a hotel hold). The charge is captured only at the moment the deal crosses its minimum before the deadline. Until then, you can withdraw any time.
You choose a pickup slot when you subscribe — say 11:30, 12:00, or 12:30 — so the crowd is spread across the window. At the counter, show the QR code in your confirmation and grab your pre-packed meal.
A small flat fee per meal, charged only on deals that tip. No monthly fees, no percentage commissions, no charge for deals that don't reach their target.
No — Batch is pickup-only by design. That's part of why the prices work: no driver fees, no packaging surcharges, no cold food. Deals are geofenced so you only see batches within an easy walk or drive.
Any licensed food business in an active Batch neighborhood can apply. We verify food-handling certification and do a quick onboarding call before the first deal goes live.
