Crowd-powered food deals

The deal only cooks if 100 of you show up.

Restaurants post deep-discount meals with a target and a deadline. Subscribe free — your card is only charged if enough people join before time runs out. If it doesn't tip, nobody pays.

The whole idea, in one picture.

the crowd subscribes73/ 100tips at 100 —or nobody pays$5.99$13.50one batch · half price

Three steps. Zero risk.

Subscribing costs nothing unless the whole crowd shows up. Think of it as a Kickstarter for lunch.

step 1

Browse live deals near you

Restaurants broadcast time-boxed specials — a $5.99 lunch, a $3 breakfast — each with a subscriber target and a countdown.

step 2

Subscribe — card authorized, never charged yet

Pick a pickup slot and hold your spot. Your card is pre-authorized like a hotel hold. No tip, no charge, no hard feelings.

step 3

Deal tips → grab your meal

Hit the target and everyone's charged at once. Show your QR code at your slot time and walk out with a meal at half price.

If it doesn't tip, nobody pays.

The threshold is the whole point. Restaurants can only afford deep discounts when volume is guaranteed — so no deal is ever honored at a loss, and no diner is ever charged for a meal that won't exist.

Guaranteed demand before you prep a single plate.

01

Post a deal in two minutes

Set the meal, the price, the minimum, and the window. We broadcast it to every subscriber within pickup range.

02

Batch economics, zero waste

100 identical meals prepped at once costs far less per unit than 100 à la carte orders — and you know the exact count before you cook.

03

Fill your dead hours

Monetize the 6–9 am window or the 2–5 pm lull. Your kitchen is idle anyway; a tipped batch turns it into revenue.

04

Flat fee, not a 30% cut

We charge a small per-meal fee only on deals that tip. Your margin stays yours — this isn't the delivery-app model.

The math on one tipped batch
100 meals × $5.99$599.00
Batch food cost (100 × ~$2.10)−$210.00
Prep labor, one batch run−$95.00
Batch fee (100 × $0.40)−$40.00
Margin from an idle morning$254.00

Illustrative numbers. Plus 100 new faces who now know where your door is.

Questions, answered

What happens if a deal doesn't reach its target?

Nothing — literally. The payment hold on your card is released automatically and no one is charged. The restaurant never preps the batch, so there's no waste and no loss on either side.

When exactly is my card charged?

Your card is pre-authorized when you subscribe (like a hotel hold). The charge is captured only at the moment the deal crosses its minimum before the deadline. Until then, you can withdraw any time.

How does pickup work with 100 people?

You choose a pickup slot when you subscribe — say 11:30, 12:00, or 12:30 — so the crowd is spread across the window. At the counter, show the QR code in your confirmation and grab your pre-packed meal.

What does it cost restaurants?

A small flat fee per meal, charged only on deals that tip. No monthly fees, no percentage commissions, no charge for deals that don't reach their target.

Is this delivery?

No — Batch is pickup-only by design. That's part of why the prices work: no driver fees, no packaging surcharges, no cold food. Deals are geofenced so you only see batches within an easy walk or drive.

Can any restaurant post a deal?

Any licensed food business in an active Batch neighborhood can apply. We verify food-handling certification and do a quick onboarding call before the first deal goes live.
